Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, you will manage warehouse operations, execute strategic supplier negotiations, and ensure timely reordering. Your primary objective will be to sustain operational continuity, mitigate machinery downtime, and optimize manufacturing procurement costs across the facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Warehouse & Inventory Optimization: Direct and monitor the daily activities of the spare parts warehouse by controlling material receipts, issues, storage optimization, and physical security to guarantee inventory accuracy and swift parts retrieval.
  • Strategic Procurement & Bidding: Formulate and implement creative sourcing processes and purchase consolidation strategies based on technical maintenance demand; optimize supply chain logistics, reduce lead times, and deliver executive performance reports to leadership.
  • Supplier Performance Evaluation: Appraise current suppliers periodically through structural reviews focused on delivery lead times, product quality, and after-sales support to enforce strict contractual compliance.
  • Vendor Negotiation: Negotiate commercial supply contracts in tandem with the Purchasing Manager, reviewing market pricing, delivery timelines, and credit terms to maximize corporate savings and guarantee component specifications.
  • Technical Quality Control: Reject incoming materials or components that fail to satisfy quality certifications or technical engineering requirements established by the maintenance department, and suspend purchase orders for vendors demonstrating recurring delivery deviations.
  • Environmental Sustainability: Champion the plant's recycling initiatives by coordinating the collection and legal disposal of industrial scrap metal, compromised electronics, and dead batteries with authorized end-destination vendors.
  • OSHA Warehouse Safety: Supervise the safe vertical stacking and storage of heavy motors, cylinders, mechanical elements, lubricants, and chemical compounds in strict compliance with OSHA standards to mitigate falling hazard risks and chemical spills.

Qualifications & Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (Universidad) in Industrial Engineering (Ing. Industrial) or a closely related technical field preferred.
  • Experience: Advanced professional background in technical inventory management, including MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) control frameworks, safety stock rotation, component criticality classification, and cycle counting methodologies.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced mastery of procurement bidding procedures, vendor development, industrial cost structures, Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPA), and KPI alignment with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems.
  • Systems Proficiency: Advanced command of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Oracle ERP platforms.
  • Languages: Intermediate proficiency in both English and Spanish required.
  • Core Competencies: Advanced capability in negotiation, strategic persuasion, mathematical and analytical problem-solving, meticulous attention to technical details, structural organization, and timely result delivery under deadline pressures.

  • Posture/Movement: Physical capacity to stand and walk continuously throughout the warehouse and production areas for prolonged periods.
  • Frequent bending, twisting, stooping, ascending platform ladders, and maneuvering around tight industrial machinery spaces.

Work Environment

  • Plant Conditions: Continuous exposure to automated high-speed industrial noise, greased/lubricated mechanical machinery corridors, fine paper dust, moderate heights, confined quarters, and facility temperature fluctuations.
