Job Summary

The MRO Warehouse Coordinator will own, operate, and optimize the paper-machine spare-parts storeroom while developing through a structured plan to manage routine MRO purchasing. This role is split as 70% Warehouse & Inventory Control and 30% Purchasing Execution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Warehouse & Inventory Control (Primary Focus): Own end-to-end receiving, physical inspection, labeling, bin storage, issuing, returns, inventory adjustments, and physical control of MRO spare parts. Apply FIFO/PEPS, 5S, proper material preservation, and OSHA-aligned storage practices.
  • Oracle Data Management: Complete all Oracle inventory transactions and maintain accurate item, location, manufacturer, part-number, and asset/BOM data.
  • Cycle Counts & Stock Optimization: Execute ABC/criticality cycle counts, investigate inventory variances, implement root-cause controls, and calculate min-max, safety stock, and reorder points with Maintenance team validation.
  • Specialized Control: Manage repairables, warranties, consignment inventory, shutdown/turnaround kits, and control excess or obsolete stock.
  • Purchasing Execution: Generate precise purchase requisitions with accurate part numbers, required quantities, need dates, and supplier history. Assist the Senior Procurement Leader in elaborating POs using standard GCP templates.
  • Order Tracking & Match Resolution: Follow up on order acknowledgments, delivery dates, and late orders to proactively escalate stockout risks. Resolve simple quantity, receipt, and invoice mismatches with the Buyer and AP team.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Maintenance, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent industrial experience).
  • Language: Professional verbal and written proficiency in both English and Spanish required.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of experience in an industrial MRO warehouse, spare-parts inventory, materials planning, or maintenance procurement. Experience in manufacturing environments (paper, tissue, converting, or continuous process) preferred.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Inventory Methods: ABC analysis, Pareto principle, FIFO/PEPS, FEFO, FSN, XYZ, VED segmentation, EOQ/MOQ calculations, and tracking Inventory Turns, Fill Rate, and Stockout Frequency.
    • Industrial Components: Practical ability to catalog bearings, seals, couplings, gearboxes, motors, pumps, valves, pneumatics, hydraulics, PLCs, and electrical components; ability to read technical drawings and BOMs.
    • OSHA Standards: Familiarity with OSHA 29 CFR 1910 standards (material handling 1910.176, PIT 1910.178, HazCom 1910.1200, PPE 1910.132, LOTO 1910.147), rack safety, and ergonomics.
  • Systems Proficiency: Proficiency in Oracle ERP (Inventory, Procurement, or EAM preferred), advanced Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and barcode/WMS platforms.
  • Core Competencies: Analytical discipline, ownership mindset, root-cause thinking, sense of urgency, and uncompromised integrity.
